Temple Library

Notes From the Librarian
Julie Pollak
===========
The Beth El Library is open to
Temple Members.
We trust our members to borrow and return books responsibly in a timely fashion.
Always write your name, phone number and book title in the check-out book.

Books are organized by Dewey Decimal (by subject) and the lists here represent
99.9 percent of our collection. We have the beginnings of a nice collection.
Members generously donate books.

- We give our warmest thanks to everyone
who has donated books to our library. Because of their generosity our
library has something on almost every aspect of Judaism. Rabbi Roberts gave
us a wonderful boost with books from his own large collection when the
Temple was remodeled and now thanks to many more donations by members and
even non-members we have a modest but solid collection.
Our long-term goal is to
continue to build a collection of books for studying Torah and Talmud.
- We also will build our children's books
and adult fiction.
- The true mission of our library is to
provide a source of Jewish cultural enrichment for our congregation. It's a
place where the past, present and future are all there for the curious and
anyone else needing inspiration.
Tables and chairs are provided for those who like to sit and read before or
after services.
