President’s Message — June 2021

We have held our first in person service and it was a huge success. Barbara Roberts returned to Oneonta to lead the service. Her voice and guitar playing were as beautiful as ever. Thank you, Barbara for getting us started again.

Barbara’s message that night was based on Shavuot and the good fortune that we have our Torah to turn to for guidance in how to live our lives fully and with optimism and hope for the future rather than dwelling in despair. After the service we all ate cheesecake and milled about the driveway. It seemed no one wanted to leave right away since it was so much fun visiting and seeing everyone. As the COVID restrictions ease we will be able to offer more in person services and social gatherings. I hope you will all come to some events soon so we can reconnect.

We are a vibrant community of diverse people who seem to like each other. We are an important presence in this area. Please continue your support to make sure we continue to thrive.
