You may have already received an envelope from Temple Beth El in August. It contains an important letter about Temple finances, a form for dues and other information, and a member address list which is only for your personal use. Please take time to read the letter. Temple Beth El faces a serious financial situation. If we don’t make a substantial change to our income, through increasing membership (which will take time) and raising dues/donation income, we will continue to diminish our already dwindling reserves. Please consider our needs as you make your decision about how you can support the Temple this year.
We ask that you return your forms no later than September 15 so that we can accurately assess our situation for 2019/2020. A self-addressed, stamped envelope is included with the mailing for your convenience.
There are many ways to help keep us going as a community. We will be welcoming our new rabbi on September 6th and 20th. Please join us for Friday night and Saturday morning services. There will be a Special Oneg on Sept 20th. Rabbi Hirschfeld is excited to be with us. Your presence is a gift too.
The Strategic Planning Group has been meeting and developing new initiatives. Please stay tuned for more information from them and the Board of Trustees. It is a time for increased participation in many ways.
I hope to see you soon,
