Robin Seletsky and her Jewish Music Ensemble, Big Galut(e), will be presenting a theater piece called “The Tale of Monish” by the great Yiddish writer, I.L. Peretz.
With original music, choreography and an English translation, this story about a pious yeshiva bocher’s trials and temptations in the shtetl provides a window into the writer’s imaginative view of 19th century Jewish life.
The performance will be held on Monday February 19, 7:00 pm in the Fine Arts building of SUNY Oneonta – Room M201. It’s free of charge and lasts about an hour.
